4 Ways To Double Your Blog Traffic Today

Double Your Blog Traffic Too!

Last week I started to notice a spike in my blog’s traffic here. Why would the traffic here double? I had been spending a little more time online as I am recovering my arm’s use from the accident in February. I still cannot type for long lengths of time but managed to get a post a week out. Would that be why the blog traffic increased here or could it be the mobile usability change via Google?

Double Your Blog Traffic

Bing webmaster toolI began to look at my stats via my SlimStat plug in and Google webmaster tools and analytics. I also looked in Bing webmaster tools and find a few HTML errors to fix.

I found 4 key things in my research on the traffic increased and thought you would like to know too. Maybe you could double your own blog’s traffic as well next week!

4 Ways to Double Your Blog Traffic Today.

  1. Broaded.net – This blog promotion network website was created by Enstine Muki. It is Free to join and each time you post a new post on your blog you can share it there. It then shows up on other blogs sidebars with a link back to your post. You can earn credits or purchase them. It is traffic that does not come from search or social. I have been on this site for at least 4 months now. It can help you double your blog traffic. (Enstine is now in the process of selling this website on flippa as he is starting a new project.)
  2. Bing.com Webmaster Tools – Other Blogs – Everyone talks about Google Webmaster Tools and you rarely hear about Bing’s great tools. They can give you a different look at your blog. I found numerous HTML errors and fixed them as well as submitting a new sitemap. You can see the results above. The more you appear in search, the more traffic you will gain to your blog or website.
  3. Other Blogs – Commenting on others blogs does drive traffic back to your own blog. Other bloggers see your link from your latest post and if it interests them they will visit your blog. Not only do you engage with other bloggers on posts but it can lead to more traffic and engagement on your own blog.
    Pages indexed
  4. Reviving Old Posts – You may have heard this one before but it is really true! I have had my Google page index increase with this technique. It doubled! More to come on this later. If you haven’t revised any old pages or post you should save some time to do that soon. It’s the Google freshness factor that will help your website’s SEO improve rather quickly.

So there you have it – 4 ways to double your blog traffic. I’d love to know in the comments if you have seen changes in your blogs traffic recently.

Have you noticed a spike in your blog traffic lately? What will you do to double your blog traffic now?

    What awesome results Lisa!

First of all, since it’s been a while since I last stopped by, I had no idea
    about your accident!

But I’m so glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery! I must confess I’m not all surprised to
about your extremely positive result using Enstine’s Broaded.net network.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about it, since he originally made us aware of it.

And believe it or not, I still haven’t set up an account yet!LOL!

Your reference to Bing’s webmaster tools, is a new one for me and I’m glad you’ve given it a thumbs up!

So I’ll definitely have to take a closer look! I tell you what, if someone can just initially increase their targeted
traffic, just by 25%, that would be a huge increase and great result still in all!

Awesome tips! I didn’t really think about Bing Webmaster tools until you mentioned it. I just submitted my site to it. We’ll see! The fourth tip is also a great one. Once in a while, I revive old posts and some do very well!

Commenting on other blog posts is also a great way of bringing comments and traffic to our blog. When I started blogging, I didn’t comment much, but since I started commenting, I made some great friends and brought traffic to my site. Bonus! 😀

I haven’t tried Broaded.net yet, but I’ll try it for sure soon! Thanks for sharing this with us. Have a great weekend! 😛

I’ll tell you what I did this week that more than doubled my traffic (although I only get 10 visitors per day as I’m only starting out). I made a post on the Warrior Forum asking a question with my name and blog URL in my signature. I got over 40 visitors the next day from this one method. Can’t wait until I figure out how to engage more forum users using this method for even more traffic.

    Hi Lisa,

You’re spot on! Bing does bring traffic. And for me blog commenting works the BEST! I love reading posts and dropping my comments. And in return I do get a good amount of engagement and discussion at my blog just by doing what I love.

Thanks for sharing those juicy tips with us. Sharing this with my twitter friends. :)

  • Another great post Lisa!

Thank you for sharing these with us. I had heard of Broaded.net but never got around to checking it out. Thanks for reminding me about Bing. I haven’t checked my stats there in a while now. I remember I was having trouble verifying my site then stopped and moved on to something else…never touched it again. :)

You’re right about commenting on other blogs. I notice a difference when I visit more blogs versus on days when I don’t. It’s time consuming but worth it.

I still haven’t looked at older posts, I really need to set time aside to do that. I can’t wait to read your post about it. I’m not sure how it goes, which is why I haven’t done it :).

    Hi Lisa,

First, I am so sorry to hear about your accident in February. It is great to hear that you are recovering.

Congratulations on your traffic increase! I do use Bing Webmaster Tools, but not as often as I would like. I haven’t tried Broaded.net and will take a closer look. I have been working on reviving old posts and revising them over the past year. It does take time, but I know it will be worth it in the long run. Our blog has been up since 2008 and there was a great deal of outdated information. I love commenting on other’s blog articles. It helps to inspire and nurture new relationships.

You said the right…! Actually, Bing is less traffic search engine, but I found that I got %15 organic traffic from Bing. So, it would be recommend to pay attention on Bing, if you don’t to lost %15 percent traffic.

Honestly, I really love to comment other bloggers’ blogs because I think that it is really brilliant ways to marketing our blog post, and get engage with other people in the area of interests. I learn from comments, and get more traffic. I have no reason to skip it..

Anyway, I have used Broaded.net since last month. I found that I got over 100 referral traffic from that network. I really love it..

Hi Kimsea, yes Bing can generate at least that much traffic and I love their Webmaster tools as they tell you different things than Google does. I think most agree blog commenting is a top way to market our blogs and get to know other bloggers out there. Besides its our property and not rented space like out on social media. In one day on Broaded.net I had over 400 visitors. It does generate hundreds but as Adrian pointed out in an earlier comment we don’t have control over which blogs they are seen out but I believe Enstine has them on relevant ones. As I look at my sidebar I see the posts are all relevant to this blog’s topics.

I will say that I’m not sure how much the mobile thing will help blogs because I made mine compatible with mobile last year and hadn’t noticed any change, and though I’ve noticed a small change lately, I think it’s because I’ve stepped up my promoting more than anything else.

How wonderful it is to see your traffic grow. I still need to get on Bing. I’m so bad at these things. What I usually do is comment on other people’s blogs and they reciprocate. Or they come to mine first.

I guess I just rely on people coming to me, then outreach a bit each day to other people I find interesting. If they respond, great, if they don’t I’m on my way to greener pastures lol.

Maybe I need this push to figure out how to get more traffic! You sure got me thinking and that my dear is great.

I took Broadednet for a test drive but found that the traffic was just numbers for me. The people weren’t sticking around, reading my content or even commenting. I’m sure others are having much better results though but I wasn’t so I quit using it.

I still have not set up Bing and if you remember last year I believe, it wouldn’t recognize my blog. I finally gave up and just haven’t tried it again. Probably won’t by this time now.

Other blogs are always a favorite of mine so that’s a great source of traffic.

    Hi Lisa,

Great point about Bing… I have completely neglected it and will remember to go and create that account and submit the sitemap, etc.

I love what Enstine was doing with broaded, but I use Concrete5 over WordPress and unfortunately it doesn’t support C5 very well. I have been on this CMS for seven years and I absolutely LOVE it!

I think in the coming years we will see more tool available for any CMS or platform as the web become more WordPress decentralized… and that’s a good thing in my opinion. Nothing at all negative about wp it’s just not everyone will be using it in the future as new platforms are coming online.

I love blog commenting, but one trend I’m observing of late is the number of bloggers who are not even replying to comments on their own blogs let alone engaging anywhere else. I’m not sure what is happening and it will be interesting to see over the next number of months if a new trend is developing. I call it the lazy blogger syndrome, lol…

Great post Lisa and yes, my traffic is growing as well and it’s an exciting time.

That’s about it. I publish new posts on social media as well, but I don’t get that much extra traffic from it (it’s usually the same each week).

I get an xml error while publshing my comments on blogs with CommentLuv, not sure why. But that’s definitively something I need to look into.

    Hi Lisa,

You are right about the various ways you shared, though I need to check out the last one from this list :)

But there certainly is an upward trend in the traffic, which I feel is because of the shuffling of the keywords, which are ranked better now thanks to the the division of desktop and mobile, as we checked that on SemRush, if you noticed and perhaps on other places too it’s coming up – and of course commenting on various blogs is always a pleasure and another way.
