Learn To Master Podcasting With Ileane Smith Today

Are you looking to master podcasting? There is someone you can learn a lot from.

Ms. Ileane was one of the first bloggers I followed and acquired knowledge from like learning about Scoopit. I could not believe she still works full time and I really wanted to know, “How does she do it all and set the bar for podcasters, live streamers, and bloggers alike? ”

I cannot keep up with her! Ileane is a master podcaster with 2 different shows. She is the most energetic person I’ve met online over the past decade! When I first wrote about her 6 years ago, she was the master of blogging and YouTube.

Today she is also streaming on YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Periscope (aka Twitter), and Instagram to name a few.

My Interview With Ileane Smith on Podcasting and Blogging

How do you do it all Ileane? You are superwoman, everywhere all the time. Do you still work full-time?

Yes, I recently celebrated 36 years on the job. But I’m not unique. We have something called “The 25-Year Club” and there are about 40 of us. I feel truly blessed that I found a company to work for that’s more like a second family.

I love my job and I don’t plan on quitting to blog or podcast full-time. Ileane wants to truly help people, that is what makes her continue to be a success online.

In what field do you work Ms. Ileane?

We are a not-for-profit publisher that is also known as a standards development organization. The standards are developed by the technical experts and we are the administrators.

I’m the membership manager for the company located in Philadelphia.

Did you really start blogging by accident?

Absolutely! I owe it all to my beautiful daughter Nikki who called me one day back in 2009 to announce that she started a blog.

I went to check it out and in the process of trying to “follow” her blog, I ended up registering for a free WordPress blog!  That first blog was about everything and anything.

I didn’t start with a niche. I’ve changed blogs several times over the years and now I can be found blogging at Ileane Smith.com

How Did You Master Podcasting?

If you want to master podcasting the best advice I have is to start off by listening. What I mean by that is, try to spend as much time as you can, listening to different types of podcasts out there.

Be a podcast listener.

master podcasting

This will help you get an idea of how you want to sound and how you want to present your content. I’m not saying you should mimic other podcasters, but find a way to put your own spin and add your personality to your content delivery. This will help you to master podcasting.

Once you have a goal in mind, you can work on finding an audience.

Don’t get discouraged if things are not “perfect” when you start off but the truth of the matter is, the only way you can get better is to get started. Enjoy the journey and don’t expect overnight success.

Thanks, Ileane for the great advice! I was interviewed on a podcast recently by Martin Lindeskog as a Biz Sugar member. And then by Sue-Ann Bubacz on MssyBiz chatting about Twitter.

Ileane’s Podcasts To Master Podcasting

She has 2 podcasts, Ms. Ileane Speaks and Presents The Anchor Show. Ileane is not consistent with her podcasting schedule but as I’ve said she doesn’t stop!

However, she talks more about live streaming and podcasting but still touches on blogging today. Her voice is very soothing to listen to as well.

She still believes in the power of having your own home base at a blog in 2023.

You are the Queen of Video Ileane, were you always good in front of the camera?

Lisa, with over 135,000 views, and more than 1,500 subscribers you might be surprised to learn that the overwhelming majority of my 150+ videos – I am NOT in front of the camera.

I try to encourage people all the time to make YouTube videos and you don’t need to ever get in front of the camera if you don’t want to.

Truthfully speaking you don’t even need to speak into the microphone. You can use a program like SoundGecko to read your transcripts or blog posts.

Back to your question, I don’t really think that I’m “good in front of the camera” but after watching hours and hours of YouTube videos on my 55” SmartTV (I can see every little pimple) I have come to the conclusion that you really don’t need to be all that great on camera.

What you DO need is to provide the information that your audience is looking for. Sometimes they just want to laugh or be entertained, other times they’re trying to solve a problem – just keep posting videos until you find out what resonates with your audience.

Back in 2019, Ileane reached over a million views on YouTube.

She recommends you can make more videos that are similar in style and content. Don’t try to get your video to go viral, just keep providing value.

The Most Watched Video

The most-watched video on my YouTube channel is a tutorial I did for Diigo (which I don’t even use anymore) and at one point they featured the video on the Chrome extension download page.

I haven’t checked lately to see if it’s still there, but I keep getting lots of views on it every month.

The other video that gets a lot of views on my channel is one that I discovered by watching my YouTube Analytics. I noticed that people were searching for “Chrome Toolbar”.

It’s actually pretty funny because technically there is no such thing as a Chrome Toolbar but that’s what “the people” want to call it – so I give it to them.

This one is called “Google Chrome Toolbar and How to Manage Your Chrome Extensions

What is your favorite video that you did?

I really don’t have a favorite, well let me rephrase that. My latest video is always my favorite video so the one that is my favorite this week won’t be my favorite next week.

But over the past 30 days, my most popular video is “What to Wear in Your YouTube Video.” It is still one of my most popular YouTube videos back in 2019.

I got a lot of comments from my friends on that one because it was my first attempt at comedy on YouTube.

Then, I made a point of giving it a serious title, but I probably will change the title one day to – What NOT to Wear in Your YouTube Video.

What is your favorite social network?

YouTube – Can’t you tell?

I can spend hours on YouTube and even when I shut down my laptop, I will turn off the nightly news to watch YouTube videos (tutorials of course – no cat videos allowed on my TV).

thanks for sharing this interview! It’s the first time I visit your blog and I’m becoming a more frequent visitor now 🙂
Ms. Ileane made an awesome point in this interview. All you really need to do is to get started! Regardless if it’s a small step or a big one, the main thing is to get yourself out there so that people can connect with you.

I’m glad I found this and got reminded on this important point 🙂

    Best,
    Jan

    1. Thanks Jan and welcome to Inspire to Thrive. Yes, that first step is what is really needed. Hope to see you more often and have a wonderful day ahead there.

  13. there is no doubt that she is a great blogger. perhaps the greatest female blogger. i visit her blog more often. thanks for introducing her with us. BasicBlogTips is one of the blogs i visit on a regular basis. and it helped me a lot in achieveing my goal

    1. Hi Raj, yes, she is one of my mentors in the blogosphere and that blog is great. I’ve learned a lot from her and that blog. Thanks for your input on it.

  14. Scott Craighead

The idea behind wearing the correct color clothing for a camera depends on your camera and your background. Say your using a DSLR and your wearing white and behind you is white drywall. This is a problem unless you can position a light to pop yourself out of it. Usually that light goes above you or behind you. There’s a lot in professional video you have to take into account and you’d be shocked at how much matters. Like did you know that your light bulbs in your house are all orange? Yep. You have to buy special lights that have special frequency’s that coordinate with your shutter speed and such. It’s a mess. – Scott Craighead

  15. She is so amazing. Truly a superwoman. I also started to blog in the year 2009 after I graduated from college but was on and off consistently. I’ve been switching from one blog concept to another. I hope I can keep up blogging.

    1. Yes, she really is Jane. Thanks for dropping by and commenting today. I hope you can keep it up too. It does take time and effort 🙂

  16. Ileane has always been an inspiration. I can’t tell you how honoured I was when she gracefully accepted my guest post.

I didn’t know she had a full time job to boot! Makes her even more remarkable. Thanks for the great interview.

    1. Thanks for coming by Peter and welcome to Inspire to Thrive. That was my big question, how does she do it all with a full time job? I guess having lots of contributors sure helps 🙂 Have a great week Peter.

  17. Great post. Thanks for the Sound Gecko information. I had not heard of it before, and now this is my first post read by Bridget. Awesome for all the articles in my ‘to read’ file. I can ‘kill two birds with one stone’ now as I commute to work. I already was a fan of Basic Blog Tips, and really appreciate all the new resources Ms. Ileane has opened up through this post. Thanks Lisa for your great work.

    1. You are welcome Sheri, glad you liked it and were able to kill 2 birds with 1 stone 🙂 Welcome to Inspire and thanks for coming by. Have a wonderful day there.

  18. Hi Lisa,

What a beautiful idea you had with this interview. Short, nice and interesting. Let’s see some valuable ideas:

    1. “You don’t need to be all that great on camera”. This is an invitation to essence, content and value. Substance and value are more important than form.
    2. “What you do need is to provide them with information that your audience is looking for”. So much with the visual appearance, graphic elements and web design. Problem solving is more important unless your readers want only entertainment. And how to find that problem that needs to be solved?

    3. “Keep posting until you find what resonates with your audience”.
Interesting way to think. Utility over beauty, usefulness over entertainment. She thinks like a real business man. Interesting model this Ms. Ileane. I’ll study her more.

    4. Well Lisa, I’m just curious. This is my 11th comment. I already have 10 comments approved and I should be number two on your top comment luvers list. However, I’m not even on the list. I wonder what happened?

OK. Interviews are a big tool that can really bring you comments. I can see this first hand on your site, here. Good to know this. Thanks.

    Have a nice day

    1. Hi Silviu, I wanted to know about Ilene as I always wondered how she did it all with a full time job no less. Great points with #1 and 2, it’s more about content and not the form. #3 is like never giving up, keep trying to til you get it right. Interesting about your comments Silviu, I checked my plugin via CommentLuv premium and it does it automatically for the past 30 days. (I tried 60 days and you didn’t show) I would have to go back and count each. I can check with Andy over at CommentLuv. I tried a few variations and you didn’t show if I went to 8 or 9 commentors.
Have you done any interviews on your site Silviu? Thanks for coming back and for your valid input. Much appreciated! Have a wonderful weekend.

      1. Hi Lisa,

When I hover the mouse over that little commentluv heart it says: 11 comments approved on this site. This matches exactly with my statistic (I keep all my comments in a spreadsheet, too). I think there is a kind of “bug” somewhere in the plugin.

        1. I will put in a request to have it checked, thanks Silviu for pointing that out 🙂 Have a wonderful Sunday.

  19. Vernessa Taylor

Hi Lisa, very revealing interview! Whenever I’m searching for answers to tech questions, I really do head over to Ileane’s site or her YouTube channel to see if she’s created a tutorial on whatever I need.

No doubt about it — as Theodore alluded to — Ms. Ileane is everybody’s fave blogger. She could star in her own “Bloggers TV” show: Everybody Loves Ileane! 🙂

Thanks for sharing the interview, Lisa. Happy belated holiday to both you and Ileane.

    1. Hi Vernessa, I like that “Bloggers TV show” – yes she would be awesome on it. Maybe she will read this and start a show 🙂 Thanks for coming by and welcome to Inspire to Thrive, you too and enjoy the weekend there.

      1. Vernessa Taylor

Lisa, we might have to get a petition going with digital signatures! Such a show would be a hoot 😀

BTW, did you know that you and Inspire To Thrive are featured in the “What’s Up, Bloggers!” Friday Roundup over on FamousBloggers? Yep! 🙂

        1. That would be funny Vernessa, no I did not know. Will be checking it out, thank you for letting me know about that. Much appreciated!

  20. I didn’t realize that Ms. Ileane has a full time job!! That is amazing. I find it difficult to keep up with social media, my blog and forum marketing, never mind my personal FB page ,business page and email 🙄

I think you must have SUPER powers 😀

I still make time to come to Ms. Ileans blog, because I come away learning something new and valuable.

    Thank you Ms. Ileane!! 😎

    1. Geri, I know, I felt the same way when I learned she had a full time job too. She is quite amazing and that’s why I wanted to do the interview with her. Thanks for coming by and welcome to Inspire to Thrive. Have a wonderful weekend.

  21. Theodore Nwangene

    A very interesting interview Lisa,
Mrs Ileane is really every bloggers favourite though, i don’t know of others but majority of the bloggers i know likes her a lot because of her simplicity.

I started visiting her blog few months ago and i really love the interactions going on there. I have also learnt a lot from her indeed.

She just motivated me now to start shooting youtube videos :).

Thanks a lot for sharing this interview with us Lisa, and do have a great weekend.

    1. Thanks Theodore, yes – me too with the videos. Working on one for next week. Enjoy your weekend too Theordore and thanks for coming by and sharing your input with us.

  22. adesanmi adedotun

Ileane is one of the greatest woman blogger that stood as a reference to all upcoming bloggers. I was fortunate to join Her group, so exiting, lovely and encouraging.

    1. Hi Adesanmi, do you mean her FB group? She is quite encouraging indeed. Thanks for coming by and for your input – have a great day there.

  23. Hi Lisa,

Wonderful interview and I do like the way she addressed her questions 😉 She’s an inspiration for everyone.

I must say that she has a sweet voice 🙂 I’ve listened to few of her podcasts when I had chance to visit her blog and at first I thought she’s a radio personality. She MUST be 😉

I haven’t been around on her blog much, but when recommendations comes in from my felllow bloggers, I stop by at her place and followed on Google+ 😉 I’m a secret follower. Thanks to you, I just followed her on Twitter too.

I find she’s always in the process of providing value rather than focusing on what she gets in return Lisa. I believe that’s the way to go too and rest will follow 🙂

Happy 4th of July, Ileane and Lisa 🙂

    Cheers…

    1. Hi Mayura, yes a very soothing voice indeed. I’m sure you will like following her blog Mayura. Excellent point about the value and I agree with you on that one for sure. Thanks for the July 4th wishes and enjoy your day there and I appreciate your coming by to check this one out.

  24. Neamat Tawadrous

    Hi Lisa and Ileane,

Awesome interview! I learned a lot of new things about Ms. Ileane’s blogging journey.

I have heard lots of good stuff about Ileane but honestly I never followed her although I knew she is a great teacher and helper and I can learn a lot from her. I guess I missed out a lot by not following her.

Her story and her journey are such an inspiration. I will follow her from now on to learn from her and get inpired.

Thanks Lisa for sharing Ileane’s journey with us. She is such an inspiration. Have a great rest of the week, both of you.

    Be Blessed,

    Neamat

    1. Thanks Neamat for coming by and checking out the interview with Ms. Ileane. She sure is an inspiration. I hope you watched her video too, everyone seems to love that one. She can be funny as well. Enjoy the rest of the week and weekend ahead Neamat.

  25. Hi Lisa,

This is a great interview of Ms. Ileane. Wow…did she say she get 40,000 comments and had to delete some of them? Super WOW…I wish I have that problem. LOL!!!! Ileane is sure bubbly and looks like a very down-to-earth person. She’s like everyone’s best friends. I like her very much. Thank you for sharing this interview.

    Angela

  26. Mrs Ileane is one of the most inspiring blogger out there in the blogosphere. I have been following her blog for the past two years.
Anyways, thanks for interviewing her. 🙂

    1. You are welcome Karan, she is quite the lady! Never ceases to amaze me. Thanks for coming by and have a great day.

  27. WoW

This has to be the best interview yet! Ileane is so awesome and now I know more about this fabulous woman.

What hit me the hardest is that I’m not doing videos! I mean, I know that but am not taking action. This is what inspired me the most. I watched her video and was laughing hysterical.

I love when she said “what about hoodies? or size of earrings?” Goes to show that no matter what…just get in front of the camera!

Thank you Ileane! You have successfully motivated me today.

    -Donna

    1. Thanks Donna, I was so curious! Me too, I really need to get one going THIS week! She is sure funny too Donna. Thanks for coming by and for your input. Enjoy the 4th of July.

  28. Love Ileane’s blog. It’s always stuffed with so many interesting info. I can stick reading it all day)) thanks for another chance to know more about еры Problogger!!!!

  29. This is an interesting interview and has brought up many insights. Madam Ileane is a source of inspiration to many including myself.

    1. Hi Emmanuel, thank you for coming by and sharing your input on Ms. Ileane. Have a wonderful week ahead there.

  30. Nice post indeed! I like the idea of creating a Facebook page for your blog as opposed to promoting your posts on your personal Facebook page. This seems like a good way to brand your blog and give it some character while also attracting followers. Many tahnks

  31. Hi Lisa!
I’m so glad you didn’t let me forget about doing this interview. I had so much fun responding to your questions. It’s funny how you were able to bring some things out of me that I’ve never really talked about when I was interviewed in the past.

I really appreciate the outpouring of support from each and every one who has commented here. I’m familiar with almost every one but anyone who hasn’t had a chance to connect with me, just let me know where you hang out and I’ll connect with you.

    Thanks so much you guys.

And of course a very special thanks goes out to you Lisa, you are such a sweetheart. Let me know what video you’d like me to work on next and I’ll get right on it after the holiday.

    Chat soon!!

    1. Thanks Ileane – so glad I did remind you of it. One question came up from Brian at Hot Blog Tips “I’d be interested to know if the lack of moderation been an issue on G+ comments.” Interesting on how you ended up with so many contributors and switching to G+ comments. I can understand why now 🙂 Have a wonderful 4th of July there Ileane and catch up soon.

  32. Loved the interview Lisa and the video is hoot! I couldn’t stop laughing. I’m a subscriber of hers on YouTube. I just love how warm she is, she’s definitely a genuine lady.

She’s right though, we have to get in front of the camera and just do it. I just have to figure out how to overcome my being camera shy. 🙂

And 30 years at a job is just awesome…thanks for doing the interview Lisa.

    1. LOL Corina, yes, she is funny too. I’m going to do some powerpoints with video so I’m not in it – more of my voice and maybe in the intro. Hope I can get to this week. I hope your week is going well and have a wonderful 4th of July there.

  33. Great interview, Lisa – I can’t believe Ileane still works full time – that’s amazing!

I was particularly interested to hear how her blog got off the ground, also her reasons for changing to G+ comments. I think a lot of bloggers are quietly struggling to cope with responding to comments – they’re lovely, but it can be quite a challenge and I don’t know how super-bloggers who get hundreds of comments deal with it.

    Sue

    1. I know, neither could I Sue. She found a great way to deal with – have a lot of contributors and use Google+ too. She sure was quick to figure that out too. Thanks Sue for coming by and have a wonderful week ahead.

  34. Great interview Lisa! I loved this and the video about her changing clothes had me cracking up. When I started following her blog I really love her tone. Her voice is so calming and it makes you want to listen because you know that whatever she teaches you its because she cares. Ms Ileane is one of the most supportive ladies out there and super cool. You asked some awesome questions. Do more Lisa!

    1. Hi Sonia, she can be funny too. Yes, it makes it easier to listen to her podcasts or videos. I hope to do more like this in the future, Thanks for coming by Sonia and have a great 4th of July. Can you believe it is so close?

  35. Hi Lisa,

It is a new experience for me. I have been following many well known bloggers for many years and Ileane Smith is one of them; but this is just awesome. 😛
It made me remember the movie “I, Robot” where Dr. Alfred Lanning helping Will Smith by telling him “My responses are limited; you must ask the right questions”…. ❓ ❓ ❓

Lisa, I will give you 10/10 for asking the RIGHT questions…

    1. LOL, thank you Karmakar, love your analogy with the movie, I did see that one 🙂 Thanks for coming by and welcome to Inspire to Thrive. Have a wonderful week ahead. Hope to see you again.

      1. Hi Lisa…

Can you suggest me which Package shall I choose for CommentLUV… They have 3 options

        1. Single website
        2. Multiple Websites
        3. Unlimited.

Please guide me and if possible please explain what is the difference between “Multiple” and “Unlimited”…

        1. Hi Karmaker, Single is for a single website or blog. Multiple websites is for more than one website you may have. Unlimited means you can install in on client sites as long as you’re an active admin on those sites. You also get the cool bonuses when you get unlimited. I hope that answers it for you. See more on CommentLuv. Have a great day ahead there.

          1. Hi Lisa…

            Installed it… 😀

Wow.. It has completely changed the look of my site…Please visit my site…. really “Luving” it…. 😛

More importantly in last 24 hrs there was NOT a single spamming comments by bots…. I am feeling pity for them…. 😈

One more thing.. How to have these cool “smiley buttons” that you have just above the comment area….

          2. Hi Karmakar, glad you are loving it! The setting for smiley’s is in writing. Go to Settings, then writing – you will see it there. I will have to come and check it out. Have a great day.

  36. Hi Lisa,

I know more of Ms Ileane, than I know her personally, but she is definitely every where. she certainly knows how to attract those subscribers. One thing that I didn’t know was that she had a full time job and I know how much harder this makes it for an online business.

Thank you for this introduction, and have a great week 🙂

    1. Hi Sylviane, thanks for coming by and your comment. She does know how to attract them. Imagine, all that and a full time job? That’s why I admire her so. Enjoy your day and the rest of the week too there Sylviane.

  37. Hi Lisa,

What a great post. I’ve seen IIeane around in internet land but that video is powerful. I know many of my friends that blog are afraid to get in front of the camera and people just need to take action. Who cares if they look goofy, or what they are wearing doesn’t look right. Your audience does not care about that, what they do care about is your message. Great interview. 🙂

    1. Hi Nate, thank you. Excellent point about the message Nate, very true. Thanks for coming by and for your input, enjoy the rest of your week.

  38. Great interview with Ileane Lisa!

She and I had a talk not long ago and I was surprised to hear that she was still working full-time, had been with her job for 30 years and loved it. That’s so rare and I was so jealous. I think if you’re doing what you enjoy then keep at it but for most of us that was never the case. Finding that right place for us is difficult.

I’ve always been so impressed with how Ileane is just everywhere too. I’ve learned a lot from her as well and I appreciate that she shared all of this with us. I didn’t know she had gotten into blogging because of her daughter. I learned something new here but I did know why we has so many contributors.

I’m only one person too but I’ll take her comments if she wants to send them my way. Boy, I know they’re time consuming but I just love reading what people have to say and responding to them as well. How can that ever get old!

Thanks again ladies, wonderful job and you two have a great week.

    ~Adrienne

    1. Thanks Ileane. I know I find it so amazing how she does it all. Isn’t that amazing that she just fell into blogging Adrienne? Her daughter recently did a guest post there, she is adorable. It’s hard with the comments when you work full time, I can relate to that a bit. I love them too but if I had over 100 a day I might consider the change or using more contributors. I do love learning about people via the comments though and they can create more posts for us with questions they bring. Try to stay cool Adrienne, we are having a downpour here now.

  39. Great Post!

I discovered Ileane about 2 months ago as i was looking through Topsy.com. I typed in Blogging Tips and there she was. First off, I like the fact we have the same last name 😉 . Second, I like all the value she provides. She goes out her way to make sure you’re educated on the tools and strategies of really getting your blog out there.

Also what I love about her is that she replies to her comments. I’m usually one of the last people to comment on your posts, and she still find the time to comment. Makes you feel special when on average she can have over 30 comments a post easily. Thanks for sharing Lisa!

    1. Thanks Sherman. I haven’t been on Topsy in ages. LOL, yes you do have that same last name. Yes, she does and in emails and tweets too. She is a real person and it really shines through. Hope you have a great day and week ahead there Sherman. Thanks for coming by to read the interview today.

    1. Kita, you will love her if you haven’t been to her blog or watch her videos. Enjoy and thanks for coming by today.

  40. Hello Lisa,

Great interview. I am sort of a silent admirer of Ms Ileane. I have never been in contact with her (except some comments on her blog). But I have watched some of her video tutorials. She is simply amazing. And the video you included is so hilarious. 😀

Even though I am not much comfortable in showing my face in a video, but I do have some plans for making some tutorial videos by using some screen recorders.

    1. Thank you Sourav. She really is and is so good with those videos. That’s a good idea. I hope to do more with powerpoint type videos myself. I’m not a fan of seeing myself on video. Thanks for your input and for coming by today Sourav.

  41. 😛 I have to giggle at the video! Ms. Ileane is a real hoot! Fabulous interview. I’ve done a couple vlogs however I’m just not that comfy with it yet. I’m more of a picture person, that and I can’t view Youtube videos at home 🙁 Anyway, I hear Ms. Ileane is one of the big un’s to follow for tips and advice. I’ve been reading for awhile and I’ll have to agree. Great tips she has!

    Great interview Lisa!

    1. Hi Bren, she sure is – she has an awesome voice too and very soothing on her podcasts. I hope to do more soon with videos. Thanks for coming by to check it out and commenting. I’ll see back on the net my friend 🙂 Hope your day is going well there.

  42. Hi Lisa and Ileane,

    Awesome interview indeed 🙂

Ah…Ileane is the one person all of us can always keep learning from – I just love the way she handles it all single handed, and to know that she also has a full time job – gosh! How does she ever manage it all? I guess we really can’t complain about anything when we read about all that she does – isn’t it?

I loved that video Ileane – and I think you just inspired me a little to get onto YouTube too – you are right – you just need to break those barriers and get on with it – once done, you are through it all. I do listen to your videos, but only sometimes due to the lack of time, but all of them are always done up so well.

Thanks Lisa for sharing more of Ileane and her inspirational journey with us. She continues to motivate so many like us. Have a nice week ahead, both of you. 🙂

    1. Thanks Harleena. That’s what I wanted to know too. You are welcome for the share and glad you have been inspired too. I hope you have a great week there. Were you just on holiday last week Harleena or is it this week? Loved your tips on time off BTW.

  43. Great interview, Lisa.

While I was reading the article, I clicked onto SoundGecko and opened an account. Now I just have to fix the sound card on my computer. : ) I still haven’t done that yet. Perhaps I’m enjoying the silence. What is the name of the computer guy you recommended?

I’d love to make a video. I have a couple of ideas I’ve been kicking around. Can you recommend the best video making platform?

It’s amazing Ms. Ileane can handle working full time and being everywhere on social media. I would love to hear more about how she was able to achieve the balance. I can barely crank out a blog post a week while being underemployed.

    1. Thanks Lauren. I bet Mayura would know about sound cards. If not I can email you Fiverr contact. I will let Ms. Ileane answer that one. I find it amazing too about her. I believe she finds the “right” tools to do it all and she must be quick and is a natural at it too. Hope you have a great 4th of July week Lauren, I’m doing a sunshine dance here as I’m off.

  44. Two of my favorite bloggers having a chat. It couldn’t get much better unless I were in the same room as you. 🙂 Im glad you asked about CommentLuv Lisa, I’m considering the same move as Ileane and going with G+. I’d be interested to know if the lack of moderation been an issue on G+ comments.

    1. Oh, thanks Brian 🙂 Tired of answering all your comments? It can be time consuming. I still love it though. I’m reading and watching how it goes for others like Ms. Ileane with G+ comments. I’m usually one to jump on something new but not that one yet. Thanks for coming by Brian and maybe Ms. Ileane will be answering that question for you. Have a great day and week ahead.

    2. Hi Brian,

For me lack of moderation is a good thing. You see, moderating thousands of comments is the problem I’m faced with – not the other way around.

I also see this as being another good reason I see it as a good thing that Google + comments are not really part of my blog’s content. Any spam comments left in Google + are Google’s spam problem – not mine.

      Make sense?

  45. Hey Lisa

    Great interview!

Ileane gave me some great advice on making YouTube videos only a couple of weeks ago via Google+.

Now all I need to do is actually make that first video!

    1. Thanks. LOL Tim, I know what you mean. I’m going to work this week on my vacation from day job on making a few video’s myself. She is so inspriring and I’m always amazed how she does it all too. Have a great week there Tim and great post today on another reader option.

  46. Hi Lisa,
Ileane is a huge support and source of inspiration to many. You may like to know that she made the first ever comment on my blog. I was so shocked to see that she came to such a tiny blog with amateur posts – but you know what? That was like a huge lift to me. she has supported me A LOT. She takes time to reply to mails and chats on Facebook.

Wonderful lady to hook up with

Hmmm! I think this is the very first interview of hers I’m reading 😉

    1. Hi Enstine, wow, that is cool that she was the first Enstine. Yes, she does take time to respond to emails and inquiries. That’s what I love about her, she is REAL. Just because she has grown her blog and following tremendously she is still herself. She has helped me since I started about 3 years ago and answered any questions I have. Thanks for coming by Enstine and have a great day.

    2. Purbita Ditecha

Enstine Muki sir @ she is not only an inspiration source but also a guide for newbie bloggers and marketers along with experienced too. As such you have seen in her Facebook group which is fully dedicated on her.
