Not only does Brand24 monitor your social mentions but they monitor anything mentioned with your name or company name on the web including podcasts now. Recently Brand24 began monitoring Google Play, App Store, Telegram, and now TikTok.
Now, this tool also includes mentions on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for your business pages. Since you can’t be everywhere all the time, this time has become invaluable.
In addition to mentions, they also give each mention an influencer score and a brand sentiment score.
They are a United States company out of Florida since 2011. I’ve been using this social media listening tool for over 4 years now. It’s a fabulous online reputation management system.
It is different from most social media management tools which only schedule posts.
What Can A Social Listening Tool Do For Your Business?
Have you ever been mentioned on social media, a podcast, or in a blog post but didn’t realize it? It happened to me when I was mentioned as a top 10 Twitter influencer by Report Garden. The Report Garden did not send me an email or a tweet.
But Brand24 is how I found out about the mention of Inspire To Thrive via an email alert.
You can have Brand24 send you email alerts daily, weekly, etc. Hence, you can set up how often you want to receive them. Brand24 brand monitoring tools help you reach customers and partners fast when you are mentioned.
Today people want a response instantly. They do not want to wait an hour or God forbid even a day. Now, my customers love when they receive emails from me with a social mention for their marketing campaigns.
People may have Google alerts set up but Google does not show social mentions or blog mentions. (Only if make a nationally well-known blog like Forbes. Google shows more news websites.)
Customized Brand 24 Reports For You and Your Clients
I’m loving the new brand reputation reports I can pull for clients to share with them.
You can even add your own logo to the first page of the report so your client knows the report comes from your company.
These new Brand24 brand monitoring reports are so easy to create, download and share. You can choose weekly, monthly, 3 months, yearly, etc.
They are very similar to the reports I can create with Agorapulse. (Those are for social media results.)
I will tell you to not run every detail for your clients because, for some, too much information can be overwhelming.
How To Get Started With Brand24
Pick your name and brand or other keywords that you want them to monitor – they are called projects. Then you set up your Brand24 dashboard settings.
Brand24 recommends you start with simple configurations to include and exclude keywords.
You can also contact customer support for help They are quick to reply to emails, unlike the non-responders at CoPromote.
Once you have the dashboard set up you will start to see the social listening tool for your keywords. (They also respond quickly on Twitter).
When you go back to your dashboard the next time you can view just the mentions from the last login to that dashboard.
Listen to what others are saying about you, your brand, or your clients with Brand24.
What Is An Influencer Score?
An influencer score rates people and websites that mention you. The score indicates how much authority a given person or media outlet has on the web.
The algorithm is based on the number of followers a person has on social media, and for a website, on how many monthly visits are usually received.
You may filter your mentions by this influencer score to see the most significant ones first.
What Is A Sentiment Score?
Their system automatically assigns sentiment (positive, negative, or neutral) to collected mentions when people talk about your brand. The feature is available only for mentions in English.
You can also filter your mentions by sentiment. These sentiment analysis reports look like the one below:
What Else Can You Monitor With A Social Listening Tool?
You can pick and choose categories to look over. They offer social mentions, blogs, podcasts, Twitch, forums, news outlets, and various other websites across the net.
They have online reputation management for social media platforms: Twitter, TikTok, Quora, Reddit, Twitch, Facebook, Instagram, and even LinkedIn.
Then, just pick and choose how you view your mentions via these sources to make it easy for you.
You can now see who your Twitter influencers are with this tool. These types of reports can help you engage more with your top Twitter influencers.
What’s A Storm Alert?
Brand24 sends out a storm alert when you are mentioned a lot in one day. They send you this via email.
You can choose your email notification schedule. I like to do mine daily. I often will go to the Brand24 Dashboard to see what is causing the storm alert.
Learn why you received a lot of mentions in one day, and what particular post or quote may have prompted it. It could be the person who shared your post had a lot of influence and your share went much further into the social universe.
You may also see the percentage of your social media reach in the Brand24 storm alert as well as the sentiment score. Isn’t that a great way of monitoring your brand online?
Social Listening Mobile App For Online Reputation Management
Brand24 recently came out with a mobile app. You know how important mobile apps are today. I was thrilled to see that communication from them.
The mobile app does not give you as much information as your desktop dashboard but it is a quick way to glance at it.
Notice the engage buttons in green – it makes it easier to engage right from the Brand24 app! That is a really nice feature.
You can toggle easily between different keywords and projects from above. You can add products and services for your keywords.
This app can help you manage your business’s online reputation from anywhere with a mobile device.

Thank you so much for writing this blog post. The tool looks interesting to me. Well, I used a couple of alert tools. Google Alert is one of the those. It was okay.
Tweetdeck was another that I tried. It was the Twitter-specific, though.
However, the Brand24 seems cool. But $49 per month is probably an amount that everyone might not be willing to pay, especially if someone is a beginner in blogging.

As you know, I am still fairly new to using social media, so pretty much everything about it is new to me. Brand 24 sounds pretty cool to get alerts when someone mentions you.
I’ve actually started turning off notifications on my iPhone so I can get more done. I’ll check my notifications once in the morning and then work on my blog and my freelancing business. I won’t check my social sites again until later in that afternoon after all my work is done.
Since using this method, I’ve been more productive. However, now it’s taking me several hours to respond to people’s tweets or get back to anyone who mentions me. I am sure this doesn’t look very good.
I really don’t get a lot of mentions, because my social sites are still growing. However, I may have to look into this later on down the road as my social followings start to increase.

Hi Susan, yes but you seem to be catching on fast Susan too. You are on to something with turning those notifications off. I have all off except for Twitter and a few close contacts on Facebook. Sometimes it feels good to just leave the phone in another room or home when you go out once in a while.
