  1. A very good list. What I have found useful to explain with small B2B entities is the importance of WHAT to post, when and the tone. Most start off trying to talk about who joined and what products or services they have. Then when they learn how to be effective they really see the benefit. So I would add to the list something about effective content management. Can make a huge difference. Also doing community management in a smart way looking for contacts and leads.

    1. Hi Clive, welcome to Inspire To Thrive. I almost put you in the spam folder because you don’t have a gravatar, I’m surprised you don’t! I recognized your blow and your name so I approved it. Oh yes, what to post is very important! Community management is a must and a social media manager must work with someone at the company to achieve it. Thanks for your input and have a great day Clive.

  2. The time element is rarely stressed Lisa….at least transparently. I use social media quite a bit but figured out that spending most time writing content for my blog and engaging on other blogs makes sense for me. Social can be the ultimate time suck if you are not careful. Excellent points here.

    1. Hi Ryan, time is surely a huge element! People think it’s free but is your time really free? That’s how we have to think about it Ryan. Thank you for your feedback and have a great day.
