How to Use Social Media for the Best Black Friday Deals

Are you ready for this year’s best Black Friday deals?

It’s a day that comes around but once a year, and of course, and we all want to feel like super savvy, money-saving geniuses while tackling it. Well, believe it or not, it’s actually possible.

Compared to shoppers of days past, we are incredibly lucky. We have a secret weapon: the internet. With it at our side we are practically indestructible – that is if we use it correctly.

Below you’ll find some simple steps to making Black Friday 2021 the best one yet.

List It for the Best Black Friday Deals

Most sensible people (i.e., not me) make lists when they go grocery shopping, and the benefits are proven. Like unnecessary spending, faster shopping time, more efficiency, and the toe-curling satisfaction at being able to cross off one item at a time. So, why do we neglect to do this on Black Friday?

You may think that because you’re not doing all your shopping in one place. Or you’ll be doing half online and half in-store. Maybe, that a list won’t come in handy or may actually slow you down. But the truth is that list will absolutely save you time and stress.

Separating needs and wants, firstly, can help you prioritize and avoid time-wasting. Once you’ve got everything you need in one convenient location, you can head out to the store. Or prowl online with ease, ticking off the important things before delving into the wants.

If it’s good enough for Santa, it’s good enough for you.

Use Social Media for the Best Black Friday Deals

If you’ve never followed your favorite brands and stores on social media, you’re missing out. Not only will you be up to date on the latest releases, deals, and discounts, but you’ll also be getting targeted ads from them.

That means you won’t even have to go looking for the good stuff.

Most brands use social media as a handy tool to share information, so stay on top of it!

You’ll often also get access to vouchers, coupons, flash sales, and discounts. Yes, sometimes following brands on social media can mean your feed will be full of products and advertisements, but when it comes to Black Friday 2021 sales, that’s actually what you’re looking for.

The best social channels include Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Minds, to name a few for shopping. Oftentimes they will post special sales and offers only on their social media networks.

You can also unfollow later if they are really driving you up a wall.

Double the Fun Shopping With a Friend

Shopping with friends is always more fun. You get a healthy dose of serotonin along with your new purchases, and just spending time with people we care about immediately skyrockets the awesome in any experience.

If you feel like you get more done on your own, think again. On a regular weekday, sure, you might have a system, and having a friend with you messes that up, but on Black Friday, having someone to spot you, cover more ground and potentially keep you on track when you’re about to buy something useless like a lava lamp, is actually a godsend.

If you’re planning to do your shopping at home, have them bring their laptop, snacks, and comfy clothes, and tackle the sites together.

You can divide and conquer to make sure you help each other get all the things you need and want, all while chatting, laughing, possibly crying, who knows. Anything is possible.

Be Account-Ready as You Use Social Media for the Best Black Friday Deals

Do you know the feeling of trying to buy a one-off product, and the store forcing you to enter every single bit of information possible? Including passport number, blood type, and favorite ice cream flavor? Yes, it’s outrageously irritating, but there is actually a reason why giving them all that info (minus blood type and passport number) could benefit you on a day like Black Friday.

First of all, you’ll have an idea of the regular pricing because you’ve been getting their annoying sales emails all year. Second, you’ll probably get early access to sales since you’re a subscriber.

Some stores offer up to 48 hours of advanced sales, which is a massive advantage. Third, you can get vouchers, coupon codes and sales offer throughout the year that are even better than the Black Friday ones, thus negating you having to worry about this at all!

Forward-thinking anyone? Now, it’s not necessary to go sign up for every single store’s email subscription, but keep in mind that if you like a brand and shop there regularly, it’s simply good planning.

  1. Great topic Lisa.

I’ve been working on Black Friday deals for the last 5 years.

We usually start working on our Black Friday content at least 3 to 4 months in advance.

Here’s what we do: blog commenting, writing guest posts, on-page optimization, etc to improve the overall search visibility of our Black Friday posts.

Also, we use our Facebook group (over 17K members) to smartly promote our deal posts during the Black Friday week. You shared some of the unique tips to boost sales through social media sites.

Thanks for sharing your tips with us, Lisa. Keep rocking.

    1. Hi Anil, yes, I have seen your Black Friday deals 🙂 You do promote them well! Writing guest posting for it sounds like a great idea too. You are welcome and I appreciate your feedback as always. Make it a wonderful there day Anil.
