Why You Need a Fabulous Content Management System

Fabulous Content Management System For Your Business

As a business in the technology age, you know that if you want to be found by customers, you have to be online. However, it’s not enough to have a website and some social media accounts. You have to offer your audience something of value, and that often comes in the form of content.

By now, you should have heard that “content is king,” and having the right content management system can be incredibly helpful when it comes to telling your story.

Creating content is simple in theory, but in practice, there are a lot of moving parts to the process. You don’t want to throw your information onto the web without some type of protection, and you can’t just toss it out there and hope that people will find it.

Your content is in place to help you build your brand, inform customers about your products and market your business.

A content management system is a tool that enables and supports all of your digital content. It will help you draft, edit, format, publish and promote your content through your website and other channels. One good thing about this CMS tool is that anyone in your business can use it, ensuring that you are constantly creating content for customers to enjoy.

You might have considered adding a content management system in the past, but now is the time to get serious about this endeavor. Technology and content aren’t going anywhere any time soon.

So, if you want to remain competitive, you need all the help you can get. Given here are a few thoughts why you need a system to help you manage your content.

It Makes Content Creation Easy

Sending the right message to audiences is imperative, and it’s often a multi-step process. You’ll probably have a writer that creates the content, editors that review and edit the work and then people who approve and send the story to the world.

If you want to make sure this process flows easily and smoothly, then using a content management system that everyone can access is in your best interest.

You and your employees won’t need to have any experience in coding or know a lot about computers. The most efficient systems will be user-friendly and have an interface that people with different levels of computer experience can use.

Content Management Saves You Money

You own your content, and you should be able to control how it looks. When you have a management system, you have that option. If you don’t have to rely on developers to make changes to your story, this saves you time and money. That is a huge time saver for your business.

Therefore, it ensures that your information looks exactly the way you want it to. It’s like marketing magic as Sue Ann Bubacz calls it!

To be found online, you have to include keywords and make sure your content is search engine optimized. That means keeping your content relevant and up to date. You’ll be able to quickly and easily accomplish this task with a content management system.

All you need to do is log in, make some edits and publish your information to the web. Then, the search bots will take it from there. Hence, this can help you rank highly on search engine lists.

In this day and age, to be found by customers, your business needs to be online. However, your presence needs to go deeper than having a website, and you have to offer your customers something of value. Having a system that helps with content management can make this process easy.

  • Thanks for sharing this, Lisa. Definitely helpful & need to know info.
I haven’t done much more than write the posts (these days create the videos), publish and share them. I’m certain that I could stand to be more organized about things, though 🙂

    • Hi Dana, you are welcome. Yes, it’s a whole system to get your content and other content out there. Oftentimes when you share others content they will shares and it can snowball. It is also good for your audience to share info that will help them. Thanks for coming by on this one Dana and have a great day!

  • Hey Lisa,

In my opinion – Content Management systems offer simplicity, flexibility, scalability and a cost effective solution to your businesses. CMS allows users to control, manage and structure their content in real-time.

There’s no need to wait for web administrators or developers to make changes, content is always fresh and updated.

Personalization is key to better brand appeal with clients and customers. Eventually, thanks for sharing your potential facts with us.

    With best wishes,

    Amar Kumar

    • Hi Amar, simplicity is really key! And of course, no one wants to wait anymore either. I appreciate your feedback and have a great day!

  • Fabulous… That’s a very strong word. And just like you pointed out. I can attest to the fact that content management isn’t that easy. As a content creator, it’s not easy to produce content REGULARLY and thought of the marketing and promotion of each content.

    • Hi Emmanuel, welcome to Inspire To Thrive. Yes, I was hoping it came across like that. It is hard to produce content regularly and that’s why I see many failing each year. There’s only a few dozen I’ve met in the past decade still doing it today. But it can be done and there are more tools available today to make it easier 🙂 Thanks for coming by on this one Emmanuel and have a great day!

  • Hi Lisa,

The ar several reasons why we need a fantastic content management system. However, it is also vital to understand what makes for a fabulous CMS. The CMS should allow users the flexibility to create and present content in appealing and unique ways. This includes designing images and developing different content types with ease.
A remarkable CMS should be able to allow non-tech or not so skilled users to perform a task quickly without stress. And I’m happy that you highlighted the main reasons why marketers need a fabulous CMS.

    • Hi Moss, Yes, I would agree on the flexibility! That would surely help one curate content as well. I love being able to share different images on different social networks. Great point about being easy for the non-tech person 🙂 Thanks Moss for your valuable input on this one and have a great weekend 🙂

  • I thoroughly enjoy this topic!

I think people understand this on the surface level but it is a challenge to put into practice for many business owners.

I am constantly telling my clients the importance of content and if I don’t stay on top of them they will fall off for sure.

When I launch my personal blog next week this will be a key topic I continue to push because it is so important now of days, especially with the latest Google updates. We have to focus on the content!

    Thanks for this Lisa!

    Steven J Wilson

    • Hi Steven, thank you. Oh yes, I understand that one well! Many clients don’t get it and fall off rather quickly. I’ll have to check out that blog of yours. You are most welcome and thanks for coming by Steven. Have a great weekend 🙂
