Can You Really Make Money With Sponsored Tweets?
Making Money With Sponsored Tweets
I had joined Sponsored Tweets many months ago and was not really getting paid for it until recently. One of the payouts was for over $4.00 for a tweet. How cool is that? I then looked over their pro account and realized why hadn’t I signed up earlier for it? It has a 30 day FREE trial program (Though you must enter your credit card) for $1.99 mo. So if I just made one tweet per month I would double my money. Can your bank account do that?
6 Reasons Why I Went Pro on Sponsored Tweets
- I could double my money tweeting.
- I would get a PRO badge – Lets advertisers know you are serious about tweeting for them.
- I would get priority sorting with Sponsored Tweets – I would get sorted before the free accounts.
- Reduce minimum cash out to $25 from $50 (less time waiting for your money).
- Free 30 Day Trial.
- You can cancel at any time if you can’t afford the $1.99/mo. – Isn’t that enough?
8 Ways Improve Your Odds with Sponsored Tweets
- Encourage more followers on your Twitter account. If you are not gaining more followers naturally you could try out Twiends to gain more followers quickly. (It’s not the best method since they may not be true followers, I have not used it on my own account in almost a year)
- Pick the right KEYWORDS – You can read more about this in their help area. You have up to 10 keywords to choose from so advertisers will pick you to tweet their sponsored tweets out.
- Link placement in your tweets – The link should be about 1/4 way into your tweet for better odds of being clicked and re-tweeted – read more from from Dan Zarella of Hubspot. Something I must do more of myself.
- Choose tweets from sponsors that match you – I would not tweet something out that was against my principles for a few bucks!
- Try interacting with some brands that you truly like.
- Don’t give up – most important factor!
- Do NOT tweet from your own Twitter account, – Hit the Tweet button on Sponsored Tweets – it should say please approve as that is what it is really doing before they tweet it out.
- If you have not joined Sponsored Tweets you may join via my affiliate link for Sponsored Tweets. As you can see above I’ll make a whooping 4 cents. But when someone signs up using one of your links or badges you will receive 10% of SponsoredTweets portion of revenue for each successful transaction that Tweeter makes. (Referral revenue will not be earned on promotional funds issued by SponsoredTweets.) And referrals only last for 2 years, not forever.
There are some people making as much as $350 per tweet and some celebrities have made $20,000 per tweet – Smart Money
Maybe you could quit that day job after all. Imagine making $350 a tweet and working from home? Or you could just make that amount monthly as extra cash. That’s my goal, what’s yours?
Have You Used Sponsored Tweets or Will You Join Today?

Sounds interesting Lisa!
I’d never heard about sponsored tweets – it’s the first time I hear it here! Where did those come from now?
However, I wanted to ask that would it not affect the kind of circles you would be tweeting such sponsored tweets to, who are your friends on Twitter? I need to check out the details and heading right over to do that now.

Harleena Singh recently posted..Do You Love the Life You Live
Hi Harleena, you are welcome. It would tweet out to all your followers as they cannot be segmented. But you don’t get offers that often. At least I don’t yet, maybe a couple a week which is a tiny percentage of my tweets at this point.
Ahhh, I’m very intrigued! I might have to look into this one myself, just for research
. A little side cash wouldn’t hurt anyone, would it?
Again, I’m always amazed at the things you come up with Lisa. Do you search the net in your sleep to find these things?

Yes, check it out Brenda. Nothing to lose. I don’t need much sleep – a side effect of getting older that I sometimes like. Something to look forward to
Hey Lisa
This sounds very interesting. I going to go and check it out right now!

A tweet worth $350? Hmm… That’s sounds interesting
Nice move with Social Media into Business. You gonna stay at home if things work out that way?
#6 goes with everything I guess

Hi Lisa,
This really sounds very interesting, and nope, I’d never heard of it, or didn’t pay attention. But thank you for bringing it to my attention, though and teaching me one more thing
I will check it out!

Hi Sylviane, and I thought everyone may have heard of it. It’s easy to set up and go too. Thanks for commenting today.
Hey Lisa,
Well, glad you made the move if this is what you want to be a part of. I was introduced to this over a year ago but never signed up with them. I didn’t want to be tweeting a lot of advertisements so I didn’t think it was something I would be interested in doing.
So about how many tweets do you share each day if you don’t mind me asking? Not sure if this is something I want to try yet or not. But, I do appreciate your take on it. Thank you for being a little more clear on how it works.
Enjoy your week Lisa,
~Adrienne
Adrienne recently posted..My Blogging Friends Rock
Not many Adrienne, usually only one or a few a week. I’ve been averaging around $4.50 per tweet so for the $27 you can see it’s not a lot of tweets. I just got one more since publishing this post. You can always refuse any offers too. I would not want to tweet something that is against my beliefs. Most of theme are fun- for example a contest for pet food prizes. Thanks for coming by and commenting, have a good week too.
I have never tried Sponsored Tweets, but I have thought about it. I believe that the reason I haven’t tried it, was that I was a little “afraid” of publishing tweets that are actually ads. But if it says that it’s an ad or sponsored, then I wouldn’t have any problems with it (I think). And, I would need to have full editorial freedom. To me, Twitter is an awesome tool, and I wouldn’t want to destroy my credibility with my following by adding things that I don’t believe in order to earn money, but I guess that with Sponsored Tweets, you have full control?
Thanks a lot for sharing this Lisa. This is interesting.
Jens P. Berget recently posted..My 3 best relationship marketing tips
Hi Jens, it really isn’t a lot of ads and you can refuse some too. So you would have full control. Some are just fun contests too. I know in the beginning I did refuse a couple that were “weird” to me. I don’t want to tweet junk either. Thanks for commenting and let me know if you check it out.
Awesome info Lisa,
I’d never heard about sponsored tweets.thanks for sharing…..

Now if I could make $8 I might quit my day job…………
Sounds pretty cool; but money is cool anyway. What does your tweet stream look like when you are making $350 a week?
Bill Dorman recently posted..Pardon my dust, brain under construction
Hi Bill, it depends how much you get for a tweet. Some (celebrities) get $350 for one tweet! Imagine, just one tweet! If you are getting $5 per tweet that would be 70. I only get about an offer or two a week. Best would be to get more money per tweet, right? I would not not flood my stream full of ads or promotions. What good is the money if you lose followers? I have to find some value in the tweets. For example: one was on a content for pet food, I have a lot of pet lovers that do follow me, makes sense, right? That’s the kind I like.
Hi Lisa,
This sounds really interesting. I’ve not heard of it before but it’s always cool to earn some money so i’ll take a look and see what I think.
$350 sounds nice especially if its on a regular basis
$27.74 is a good start as well
Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Hi Barry, you and many others apparently. Wow. Thought it was old news. It does take time especially since I don’t buy followers on this account of mine. I like to keep things genuine and the tweets I approve from Sponsored Tweets have to be of some value to my followers too. I did raise my price a little because they (Sponsored Tweets) recommended I could to over $5.00 per tweet. I think the mistake I made in the beginning was to price myself too low. Good luck if you try it Barry. Let me know. Nice to see you around the blogosphere again!
Lisa, I tried SP a long time ago, but I never made any money. I probably did not wait long enough. I like your honest review because you got me interested again. thanks
Michael Belk recently posted..“Curbstoning” The newest car sales scam.
Hi Michael, yes, that is usually the case. You have to price yourself right and I found it better paying the $1.99 /mo for pro account. You can get more offers and can increase your price. Let me know how you make out with some changes. Also be sure to have the right keywords.
Thanks for the post! I have been using Sponsored Tweets but I haven’t been able to see any real activity. Your post gave me some ideas that I hope will help increase my payout.
Hi CB, I sure hope it helps – let me know in a few weeks if it has. You always have to give it time.
Oh, yes, I have made about 25-30 bucks with Sponsored Tweets (Well, I do thank them for that, because the money really helped when I needed it).
But, later I gave up on it (I began getting more unwanted and unrelated offers – that was also the time I realized that I should just stick with content and interaction on Twitter).
I guess I should try it in the future (as long as we don’t overdo it, it should be alright, right?)
Anyways, thank you for the post, Lisa
Yes Jeevan, you can also reject any offers too. So it’s like a no-lose situation I believe.
Hello,I am so sick of Twitter. I can’t make heads or tails of it
I hope your strategy works for me.

Hey Lisa,
You can totally make money with this service. I signed with them about a year ago I got offer up to $20 a tweet. There is another service I used to use, I can’t remember the name of it but is very similar.
Sign right up people, it works.
thanks LIsa!
Akos
Thanks Akos, I’d love to know the other one too. If you remember just comment back here – thanks!
I am a member of this and one other and I haven’t done it yet. I have heard this really works well, but it depends on your niche and the topics you blog about. Most products and companies I saw either don’t have anything to do with my topic or it just wasn’t for me. Thanks for the reminder with these because the payout is not bad on some companies. Another one to check out is Pay-per-post.
Hi Sonia, yes it is very simple to fill out and get started. It is not a time consuming task at all. If you do it with your personal account and you tweet on a variety of subjects I find it does help. I will have to check out Pay-per-post. Sounds interesting, thanks!
Nice article, I never thought that we can make money that much amount just through sponsered advertising.. well I’m happy to read this article & come more close Sponsored Tweets.
Check them out Vivek if you use Twitter. It’s pretty cool. Especially if you really enjoy Twitter like I do.
I’m definitely signing up! Thanks for sharing this!! Hope you’re having a great weekend
Corina
Good luck with it Corina. Give it time and don’t give up.
Great info, Lisa, I was not aware of sponsored tweets. It’s always good to learn something new that can increase income. Keep up the good work.

I’ve only ever done sponsored tweets. Maybe it’s the low number of followers (I only have slightly under a thousand) but there’s better ROI from sponsored blog posts
Daniel recently posted..Bad Links – How to Tackle this Problem
Hi Daniel, yes, I’ve done some of those too but I really like to keep them in my blog’s theme of content. That can sometimes be hard. Thanks for your input.
Lisa – I had joined SponsoredTweets a while back but as you have said, it never really paid out, so i just ignored it. After reading this article, I think I will give the Pro option another try. Let us see how that works out.
Wow…$20000 for a tweet???really????

Hi Dick, yes, for sure. Not a lot but it pays for itself. I am now receiving $5.00 per tweet and tend to get 3-4 per month. I love receiving emails that say you’be been paid for your tweet. I may be able to up that price again. That was something I did wrong in the beginning, did not charge enough.

D, Did you sign up for the Pro? $1.99/mo. That’s what made a difference to me. So far to date I’ve made over $77.00 and counting
I get a few offers a month. I’d still love to get more offers too.

I just sign up for sponsored tweets yesterday, but i did not receive mails from any advertisers so far. Is the problem with my followers count? I have 90 followers.
Arafath recently posted..Ideal Things to Understand before Creating a Blog
Arafath, you would need more followers. Try following more in your niche and start to interact with them. It will take time to get offers too. I get a few a month. Make sure you price is set as they recommend too. That’s a big one. Once I used their suggessted price it helped me. Getting $6 per tweet and only paying $1.99 /mo for premium makes sense for me. If I left $1.99 in the bank I would not get $6 in interest
