About Alltop
Have you been to Alltop to research topics? I had been using it for my day job to keep up on advertising topics there pretty regularly. It makes it easier to find all the info on a topic quite easily. It’s updated continuously on a hourly basis. A while back I applied for the category blogging and was notified yesterday that I’m in. Of course I’m at the bottom as a newbie there but it’s another great way to generate more traffic to your website or blog.
You too can apply for Alltop. You must sign up for an account there and just follow the instructions to apply. There are many different categories that you can apply for depending on what your blog is about.
You may recognize some of the other bloggers on Alltop:

- Tentblogger- Blogging for Fun and Profit
- Mayura4Ever – We all know him, right?

Great research on Alltop
I’ve been there but never dig info this much. Thanks for presenting ‘em here dear. Alltop is really neat, organized and not a place to spam around. So I like it very much. It’s the first place I submitted my blog, as I remember. It helps drive traffic for me and update content pretty faster. You’ve already mentioned here, hourly basis, but I admit, I never knew 
Personally I recommend submission at Alltop

I became aware of this website only recently. I was going to follow the process through to add mine but, didn’t fancy tackling the challenge on my Ipad, will look at this one again, thanks Lisa.

I discovered and learnt about it rather late, but when I did, I was right into it.
I guess it surely has it’s advantages and if you are into blogging, submitting your blog there does make sense.

Thanks Susan, I had to submit more than once but I think it was when the site was having issues with server. Thankfully it’s been running fine with Hostgator.

I knew about Alltop and I am a follower of Guy Kawasaki on G+ so I know about their work. Guy is awesome and I go check their site every day for ‘the latest’. Because I have put a limit to the number of networks I want to be really active in I have to think about it, but knowing you, it must be good stuff. So – once again – you’ve put me in the right direction. Thankaroonies!
Hi Jan, You don’t have to be “active” over there – it just updates your posts there. You must be posting at least 1 per week to be listed. I do like looking around there when I need to find things on certain subjects.

It’s not used to tackle spam, it’s more for research and finding news on many subjects.

It’s pretty simple and it may take month for response.
I guess am not that late here. So my last topic is about Alltop too – not knowing that you have stretched out wonderful things about Alltop here Lisa.
Actually, I have submitted my blog last month, I was notified as well that my blog was in, that was when I have collected several directories hoping to increase my backlinks. Well, that was pretty good.
(In the dark side, I had some second thought about directories that requires reciprocal links – but so much to that…)
Let’s talk about my Alltop experience, well, my first day of looking for top stories and lead for a new post, I found out that this is so effective. Am not saying that this is the best, but when I am at Alltop, I am able to save my time in looking for helpful subjects from post of probloggers… because it puts all of those “posts” in one page – well, I can browse in alphabetical orders too.
Say when I looked for blogging – several viral topics about it at real-time just appeared, all-in one page of Alltop!

I agree Prime Aque, second thoughts on directories that you must have reciprocal links. Yes, I have found Alltop great to find different topics with lots of content and it’s the latest content from around the web.
