Do You Shop Socially?
Shop Socially
Do you like shopping alone or with a friend? Shopping with a friend can be a lot of fun anad helps you to get opinions on your purchases. And of course there is the breakfast, lunch or dinner that may go with the shopping.
Sometimes shopping can be a social event with friends or there are times when you really need to shop with a purpose and shopping alone works best. Before online shopping became popular women especially used to make a day of it at the local mall. Shop, eat and chat. What could be better?
Time have changed as more women worked longer hours and more days per week and had less time for shopping. They turned to online shopping to save time and even money as gas prices continued to rise. Men who typically don’t like shopping love online shopping.
In 2011, 148 million US consumers ages 14 and older will make at least one purchase online, according to eMarketer estimates.
Shop Sociallly Online
There are websites now that offer social shopping. For example, Kaboodle is a social shopping community where people discover, recommend and share products. They offer shopping tools to allow people to organize their shopping through lists, discover new things from people with similar style, get discounts on popular products and find best prices. They have been around since 2005. This is a great shop socially website.
Another one I like is called The Fancy. This website is fairly new and has a less cluttered look than most of the social shopping websites out there. The Fancy describes itself as “part store, blog, magazine and wishlist. It’s a place to discover great stuff, to curate a collection of things you love, to get updates on your favorite brands and stores and to share your discoveries.” Another great way to shop socially.
There are many others including Stylehive, This Next, Shop Wiki, Woot and many more.

i also use social shopping online , only for books and coins (since i'm a coin collector)
i experienced buy some outfit using shopping websites but it was just a mess…i didnt get what i expected…
What was it that you expected vs. what you received? (You may use general terms.)
Well, Though I haven't yet used any social shopping.. but I don't think its a good idea. We don't have a feel/ fullness in buying things..
Sometimes its good for an opinion. If you need something like an appliance and want opinions, it could be helpful. You can make a quick poll and have readers who have used the product tell you which brand or type is best.
That's new to me. Maybe I'll try it one day. But I like the old fashion girl gossip sipping latte while racking up the credit card thing.
